Kate and Nick’s beautiful May wedding took place at Thornton Manor on the Wirral. We had been working with Kate and Nick for over year leading up to their wedding day. In the morning of the wedding, Kate and Nick both got ready in Formby with their bridesmaids and groomsmen before leaving for their ceremony.

Ceremony

The wedding ceremony took place at St Nicholas’ in the centre of Liverpool. Following the ceremony, we had arranged Red Bus transport to bring all guests over to Thornton Manor.

Wedding Breakfast

The drinks reception and wedding breakfast took place in the Manor House. The Entrance Hall and Music Room was dressed beautifully by Red Floral with gorgeous floral arrangements and candles and guests were entertained by Adagio String Quartet. Food and drinks were served by Barretts. Luckily the weather was lovely so guests were able to enjoy the gardens. During the drinks reception, Kate and Nick were able to get some gorgeous couple shots in the grounds of the Manor.

Evening Reception

After the wedding breakfast, guests were transported down to the Lakeside Marquee for their evening reception where they were greeted with a champagne tower. There was a beautiful floral canopy in the middle of the marquee and behind the reveal curtain Six15 had set up ready for the first dance and evening party. Just before the end of the evening, guests were treated to a beautiful firework display over the lake.

Kate and Nick wanted to use both Thornton Manor venues for their wedding because both venues have different styles. The Manor House is very traditional with gorgeous old features whereas the Lakeside Marquee is much more modern. Therefore, by using both venues they were able to enjoy and utilise two different styles and atmospheres on their day.

We have a lot of experience working at Thornton Manor and it is a wonderful wedding venue to consider with lots of different venues and areas to suit all size of weddings. Swipe below for Pictures taken by Herve Gillet.
