The couple chose this iconic destination for its breathtaking scenery, romantic atmosphere, and elegant villas. Their celebration took place at Villa Pizzo, one of the most historic villas on the lake. With its stunning gardens and lakeside views, it created the perfect setting for their destination wedding.
Lauren and Josh planned a multi-day celebration so they could spend more time with family and friends. First, they welcomed their guests to Lake Como with a relaxed welcome party at Hilton Lake Como. Guests gathered on the rooftop to enjoy drinks, conversation, and spectacular views across the lake. This event gave everyone the chance to settle in, reconnect, and begin the celebrations together.
However, the wedding morning brought unexpected weather. Heavy rainstorms rolled across the lake, creating uncertainty about the ceremony plans. Fortunately, the planning team prepared several backup options to ensure the day could run smoothly. Even so, Lauren and Josh decided to move forward with their outdoor ceremony. They knew they were in Lake Como and only planned to marry once. As a result, they embraced the moment and exchanged vows outside despite the dramatic weather.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Villa Pizzo. Guests enjoyed the beautiful surroundings as the atmosphere shifted from stormy skies to a joyful evening celebration. Later, everyone gathered in the permanent glasshouse on the villa grounds for dinner and the party.
The glasshouse created a stunning setting for the reception. Music played a key role in the evening, with performances from Luke Burr and The Function Band. Their incredible performances filled the space with energy and kept the dance floor full.
